Home At Last - Holiday Wrap-up

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

After a 15 day road trip to Minneapolis to spend the holidays with my boyfriend and his family, I drove all day Tuesday and arrived home to my V-dog at 10p.m.

Minneapolis, MN to Aurora, CO Trip Stats:
945.4 total miles
75.8 mph moving average
86.6 mph max speed
12:59:00 total travel time
21:14 total stopped time

I desperately need to return to the gym as my fat jeans are now fitting a bit snug. :(

I don't know about V, but I sure was happy to see him.
He's back to his old self again, even jumping into my car on his own. It's been so great having him back!!! We had a vet appointment yesterday for another chemo treatment. This one I've had to administer at home using rubber gloves. Eek!

He's still currently in remission but I got to meet the oncologist and I really learned a lot about cancer cells yesterday. Many of the vets recognized and said hello to Vegas. Everyone was also noticed his new collar from Santa. He's so handsome!

The MN visit was quite eventful and productive. I got to spend time with my friend Hatty who used to live in Colorado and our friend Jeremy.

As well as my new friends Fred & Debbie from Wisconsin.

Since I wasn't able to take Vegas along, Frank graciously filled in for the ride. It made me feel a little less crazy when I talk to myself in the car.

The Charlotte Santa was generous as ever this year!

Some of my favorite gifts this year include (in no particular order):
  • The travel Mexican Train! (which brought hours and hours of aggravating fun)
  • The loads of cookies and treats from the Fresh Market!!!
  • My new monkey pajamas
  • The 12 Cocoas of Christmas (of which only 4 remain)
  • A stunning Baccarat Vegas
  • A new stuffing-free toy for Vegas
  • An 8-ball rack memo board!!! (eat your heart out)
  • A custom Cherry Bomb necklace from etsy.com
  • Mon"keys"
  • And some great new scarves that I've been breaking in
I also went snowmobiling for the first time ever! It was SO much fun!!! I think I was going about 70 mph at one point. I'd never even seen a snowmobile in real life before this trip.

I'll be working on TY cards this weekend.
