Being Sick = Totally Spoiled
Up until just a couple months ago, the V-dog had not so much as had a piece of cheese or lunch meat but as soon as we found out he was sick, all the rules went out the window. Aside from sleeping in the bed with me and getting on the furniture (which he doesn't even try to do because he just never has), he pretty much gets whatever he wants.
This new game of "Let's see what Vegas will eat" has been quite fun. Yesterday, I fed him a couple Mike & Ikes and he seemed to like them. He wasn't quite sure what to think of it at first, but he just chewed up the second and third ones. That was all fun and games until he was fartin' up a storm during the drive home. Apparently, M&I's make dogs flatulent. Who knew?
Today's Iron-Cheffing concoction included cherry tomatoes which I was trying to get rid of. Those didn't go over so well. I honestly dropped one on the floor but thought I'd encourage him to eat some vegetables (or is it a fruit?). He carried it around in his mouth until finally there were splattered tomato seeds in a little pile with a half eaten cherry tomato beside it. It must've surprised him when he bit into it.
I'm looking forward to the peanut butter experiment. I'll have to get my camera out for that one.
Home At Last - Holiday Wrap-up
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
After a 15 day road trip to Minneapolis to spend the holidays with
my boyfriend and his family, I drove all day Tuesday and arrived home to my V-dog at 10p.m.

I don't know about V, but I sure was happy to see him.
He's back to his old self again, even jumping into my car on his own. It's been so great having him back!!! We had a vet appointment yesterday for another chemo treatment. This one I've had to administer at home using rubber gloves. Eek!
He's still currently in remission but I got to meet
the oncologist and I really learned a lot about cancer cells yesterday. Many of the vets recognized and said hello to Vegas. Everyone was also noticed his new collar from Santa. He's so handsome!
The MN visit was quite eventful and productive. I got to spend time with my friend Hatty who used to live in Colorado and our friend Jeremy.
As well as my new friends Fred & Debbie from Wisconsin.
Since I wasn't able to take Vegas along,
Frank graciously filled in for the ride. It made me feel a little less crazy when I talk to myself in the car.
The Charlotte Santa was generous as ever this year!

I also went snowmobiling for the first time ever! It was SO much fun!!! I think I was going about 70 mph at one point. I'd never even seen a snowmobile in real life before this trip.
